A convention for the children's TV show, Knightmare
Fri 9 May 2014 - Sun 11 May 2014
EPIC Studios, Norwich
We are now taking bookings for people to play a room of the dungeon. Your ticket to the Knightmare Convention includes the chance to play a room of the dungeon. Read on to learn how to play.
How do I play a room of the dungeon?
We are allocating dedicated time slots to people. Show up at the dungeon in good time before your time slot and when your time rolls around, you get to play. Each time slot is approximately 5 minutes long and includes the time taken to brief your team, set you up, and play.
Who gets to play the dungeon?
Everyone gets to play once. However, we are currently only taking bookings for people with super tickets. These were special tickets that were available during the IndieGoGo campaign and allowed people to jump the queue for booking and for entrance to events.
Update: Booking is now open to all attendees
How many people are allocated to a time slot?
Currently, one team is allocated to each time slot.
Each team is made up from 1 dungeoneer and 3 advisors.
How many time slots can I have?
Each person will only be allocated a single time slot.
Who will I be playing with?
You will be grouped together with other convention attendees that have requested the same slot as you in order to bring the number of people in each slot up to 4.
Can I be the dungeoneer in my team?
In order to prevent arguments, unless your team is a pre-formed team of four (see below) the dungeoneer will be picked by our staff. If you have pre-formed a team of four, you may choose. Make sure you decide before you show up, though.
How do I get my time slot?
You need to email [EMAIL ADDRESS REMOVED]. Remember to include the DAY that you are attending, and also a first choice slot and a second choice slot. We will let you know whether you have been allocated your requested slot or not.
Note that, during the first week of booking, time slots will only be given out to people with super tickets.
Update: Please call EPIC studios in order to book your place in the dungeon (01603 727727). Booking is now available to all attendees.
Please DO NOT email us regarding your booking. It will go unanswered and you will not be booked in.
What are the time slots?
How do I avoid missing the main events?
We do not intend to run any of the main events at the same time that people are playing the dungeon.
How do I form my own team?
If you want to play with your friends, you need to form your own team.
You need to email us with your team name, the number of people in your team (maximum 4), and your requested slot(s) in order of preference. Your team members then need to email us confirming this. Once we've heard from all team members, the slot will be allocated to you.
If your team has fewer than four people, we may add additional people to your team in order to bring the number of people up to four.
Note that if your team contains a mixture of people with standard and super tickets, we will not be able to allocate your slot to you until after the first week of booking is over.
Update: Booking is now available to all attendees.
What do I need to do on the day?
Make sure that you are in the right place at least 10 minutes before your slot. If you are late or miss your slot for any reason, we may not be able give you another one.
Most importantly: Avoid wearing anything blue! This includes jeans.
